Blush Fabric Tour

To say that I was thrilled when Dana of Made Everyday contacted me to ask if I would like to be part of her Blush Fabric Tour would be a massive understatement. In fact, I double-checked the message, thinking that maybe it was some kind of mistake, and really she meant to be contacting someone else.

Issie Top Pattern Tour

Ahhhh autumn. My favorite time of year. Golden leaves, cool weather, and bananas. Okay, maybe not bananas, but when I saw these cheerful bananas in a french terry, how could I say no to a fun autumn dress?

If you have been sewing for any length of time, I am sure you will have seen some (if not all) of the beautiful clothes that Ines of La Folie Sewing Booth has made for herself and her daughters. I am so happy today to join a group of friends in showing her just how much we all love her and have been inspired by her -- Inespired!

Isn't this illustration amazing?? It was created by the incredible Toya!!

I was overjoyed when the mini-series by Sullivan Entertainment came out, and watched it rapturously with my sister. Everyone has their favorite Anne moments, and one of mine was when Anne revealed her love of pretty dresses. Or more specifically, puffed sleeves.

Penny Dress Around The World

Summer has taken over in our household, and I have to admit that my sewing has slowed down considerably. Which is not to say that I haven't wanted to sew. Luckily I had been invited by the amazing Bettina of Stahlarbeit to join a group of very talented women in sewing a pattern from a new-to-me designer. It's the Penny Dress from Sew Over It.
